There is a new shopping centre by the entrance to the urbanisation and this features a Carrefour supermarket, a bank, newsagents/ booksellers, tapas bar, dry cleaners, internet café, excellent Indian restaurant and stylish Italian bar/ restaurant. Fuengirola is only a few minutes drive as are Mijas and the aqua parks.
Malaga, with its beautiful cathedral and Picasso museum is less than half an hour and the local train service is excellent.
